It’s never too early to plan for LearningBuilder Academy, our annual in-person user group!
LearningBuilder Academy 2026 will take place on Tuesday, April 28th. We’re so excited to welcome you back to our office conference center in Arlington, VA. The entire Heuristics team will gather in person alongside our client community for a full day of conversation, networking, and interactive learning. It’s a chance for those who work with LearningBuilder to meet each other and share their experience (and experiences) with the system.
As we finalize details, we will reach out with more information and requests for input about the day’s programming and content. For now, here’s what you can expect:
- A look back at all we’ve done together over the past year.
- Collaborative discussion with your colleagues about the future of credentialing.
- The chance to learn some hands-on skills to support your work in the system.
- An overview of what upcoming features may make life easier for you and your coworkers.
- Opportunities to share your voice and help make LearningBuilder even better.

The Year in Review
LearningBuilder Academy offers the opportunity to spotlight our recent product and infrastructure development in greater depth.
We’ll revisit the work we’ve done together this year to meet the moment and move forward with LearningBuilder’s most impactful new features and functionality.
We’ll also share organizational updates, reflect on the lessons of the past year, and engage in dialogue about our working product roadmap.
An Exploration of the Future
The future of credentialing is dynamic. We always like to use some of our time together at Academy to cast our collective gaze to the horizon. Let’s prepare together for what’s next.
We want to explore:
- How could the future of your profession look?
- How is your industry changing?
- How might your profession’s competencies evolve?
- How will people learn, and how will you assess them?
- How can we use emerging tools and technologies with intention and clarity of purpose?
We’d also like to share our perspective on where the system is going in terms of development, and why.
Tips, Tricks, and Best Practices
At each year’s Academy, we always try to cover some hands-on, nuts-and-bolts LearningBuilder topics. We aim to inspire confidence in your configuration abilities and promote small-but-mighty bits of self-service to help further streamline your operations.
We also want to maintain and strengthen our lines of communication around the topics of Customer Support and Success. We’ll offer further insight into our Support process and approach, and demonstrate DIY solutions to some of the Support requests we see most often.
Customer Roundtables
Back by popular demand, our LearningBuilder Customer Roundtables will definitely return this year. These are smaller breakout groups facilitated by experts on the Heuristics team with customers from several different organizations present for each session. Come prepared to share what’s on your mind and ask the questions (big or small) you’ve been wanting to ask.
What kinds of topics do we cover during the Customer Roundtables? We’ll reach out separately for your input on this year’s Roundtable session topics. In the past, roundtable topics have included: Integrations, Program Operations, Upgrades, and more, with time set aside for you to attend multiple consecutive Roundtable sessions.
