Glen Pfeiffer is an architect and lead developer for Heuristic Solutions, a custom software development and IT consulting company located in Arlington, Virginia. Glen manages the Tucson, Arizona office while challenging our development team to build the best software possible using the best processes and tools available. He is committed to learning our client’s business domain to uncover their un-communicated needs. This emphasis results in elegant solutions to difficult business problems.
Throughout the last decade Glen has developed custom software for a variety of well known organizations. For the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), he constructed the “Priority Target Activity and Resource Reporting System” (PTARRS) which is used by DEA agents worldwide to track and report on DEA targets. For the “Federal Aviation Administration” (FAA), he created IDMedia, an application to manage, encode, and distribute Java enabled Smart Cards, a new form of identification for all FAA employees and contractors. Some other organizations are the United States Postal Service, United States Coast Guard, and Verizon.
Glen has a diverse and carefully selected tool set. He is skilled in many well established and cutting edge technologies. Some of his often used tools are C#, JavaScript, MS Sql Server, Oracle, Perl, Ruby, and VB.NET. Softer technologies such as Object Oriented design and analysis, relational theory, design patterns, and algorithm design round out his skill set. With this outstanding skill set and focus on the client, Glen succeeds where many fail.
Glen received a BSBA with a concentration in Management Information Systems (MIS) from East Carolina University in 1999. He currently lives in Tucson, Arizona with his wife and daughter.
